Course Breakdown
What is this first aid course about?
Course Description: This course is designed in compliance with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, which mandate that employers provide sufficient equipment, facilities, and trained personnel to ensure that first aid can be administered to employees who suffer injuries or illnesses at work. These regulations are applicable to all workplaces, including those with five or fewer employees and self-employed individuals. This qualification is recognised and endorsed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is particularly appropriate for lower-risk environments, such as offices and retail settings, as well as organisations with fewer than 100 employees. It offers a robust solution for employers aiming to fulfil their statutory first aid obligations effectively.
Course Format: This course emphasises practical engagement, integrating hands-on activities and floor-based exercises that are essential for effective learning. Participants are required to demonstrate their physical capability in executing critical tasks, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and recovery position techniques, which are vital in real-life scenarios.
Logistics: To successfully host this course at your workplace, please ensure that the training area is spacious enough to accommodate up to 12 participants, several training mannequins, and the instructor. Adequate space is crucial for facilitating effective practical training and ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
