RSPH Level 1 Award in Food Hygiene Awareness Course
Course Overview
The Level 1 Food Hygiene Awareness Training Course is designed to provide foundational knowledge of food safety principles and regulations. This qualification is particularly suitable for individuals entering the workforce or those who have recently begun their careers, including young people preparing for work experience. It is also suitable for those people who participate in providing food to community groups.
The course addresses essential topics related to food hygiene, empowering participants to understand and implement basic safety measures. This is critical for individuals working in various settings, such as the food manufacturing and hospitality sectors, where they may perform "low-risk" tasks. Specific roles include serving food, clearing tables, handling food deliveries, and working in establishments that involve pre-prepared and wrapped food. Additionally, the qualification covers responsibilities associated with maintaining chilled, frozen, and ambient storage, as well as roles within services such as "meals on wheels."
